Botnet

A network of compromised, internet-connected devices controlled remotely by an attacker, often used to launch large-scale attacks.

Botnets are built by infecting devices — computers, routers, even IoT devices — with malware that lets an attacker control them collectively. They're commonly used for DDoS attacks, spam distribution, and credential stuffing.

Want to actually work with Botnet? This concept is covered hands-on in our Ethical Hacking program — not just defined, but practiced.
