A prompt that clearly states context, format, and constraints outperforms a cleverly worded but vague one almost every time.
Including a concrete example of the desired output format dramatically improves consistency compared to describing the format in words alone.
Run the same prompt against multiple realistic inputs before trusting it — a prompt that works once on your first try may not hold up across the range of real inputs it'll actually see.
